What'sLoveGotToDoWithIt/Secret

I went to a Maroon 5 concert last night, and had a really good time. One Republic opened for them, and I didn't know that their stuff was that good. Their songs are very commercial, but they have real good stuff. I have some amazing memories off of the songs on the first two Maroon 5 albums. Mostly summer school memories with old, but true, good friends. I am posting a short video from one of my favorite songs of theirs, "Secret," which they meshed into "What's Love Got To Do With It" and then back to the song itself.

You can't go wrong with red. Just like you can't go wrong with black. Therefore, you can't go wrong with combination of the two. I got this dress from my mom a couple years ago now, then kind of butchered it to look like it does now. It was looser, (I like the slimmer fit, if you're already wearing red, you might as well go all out, no?) and longer. It's been my go to dress for whenever there's an occasion - and that was Thanksgiving last year - so I thought why not wear it just 'cause...?

And not that it has anything to do with what I'm wearing, but listen to this song. It's a very "chill" song, so prepare a drink if that's the kind of person you are - not an alcoholic, just someone's who likes to listen to good music and sip on some wine or something.

HistoryOfHipHop

Be patient through the 30 second commercial in the beginning, it's worth it. Justin Timberlake NEVER fails to put a smile on my face.

I don't want to hear it from anyone. Yes, I was crying. It happens. That sweatshirt has been my good companion. I recently bought it (It's from Zara) and I haven't taken it off, although it's a million degrees outside.

Kanye West - Lost In The World by myswag

Kanye's new song. Caro texted me today and told me to listen to it, saying it was amazing - which I had no doubt about. This man is really creative. He has changed the sound of hip hop.

Kanye

In the middle of the photo shoot I had with Caro today, she showed me this private concert of Kanye West with John Legend on the piano. Apparently it was a private event in New York for 200 people, and the dress code was suits for men and gowns for women.

Anyways, my point is, this man makes amazing music.

There is no better way to spend a friday; start with him, go tan with the girls, then NOT go to work, (my boss didn't call me, not my fault) then end it with dancing around at my place. I sometimes forget how dancing puts me in a great mood. My friend from back home and I do that so much when we're together; just listen to music really loud and dance.
When it comes to stuff like that, stuff that I have been doing for so long back home and can't do here, I get really homesick. I would love to wake up, have breakfast with my mom, tan by the pool, play with my niece, have dinner at Zuma with NS, then end the night with going out with my friends of 15 years. Oh well, it's coming soon...
P.S. Little Freak by Usher, that's what I'm dancing to right now.

When we look back at a relationship, how is it that we never remember the bad parts of it? Why is it always the first kiss, the first movie, the first night spent together, the hugs, the naps which last forever, the time he woke up early to bring you ice for your finger, seeing each other for the first time after a few days, the looks, and the touch that you think of? Why is it never the arguments, the feeling of being alone, the lies, the cheating, the hurting, the tears, the broken frames or the silence? I think it's the fear of forgetting. You just want to hold on to it so hard because you like to believe that it was special, when maybe it was just, not.

Entry#8

I think it was sometime around the 20th of June when I was listening to this song, "Doing Girls Wrong" by Kanye West on my couch, waiting for him to come home. I can still smell the room, feel what I felt, and see what I saw around me that day. I had so many questions on my mind that I wanted to ask him, but I was so afraid of loosing him that I just wouldn't. That day though, I decided to get my answers, hoping it wouldn't effect us being, well, us... When he came in he was upset. He had some problems with the school and what he was doing here. Seeing him like that broke every part of me. So I couldn't. I think to this day, I still haven't gotten the answers for my questions, and that's why I'm not over him. Unfortunately, I don't have the right to ask anymore.

Finally!

I've been trying to find the songs from Lil Wayne's documentary for months now. At last; I found "Damn Damn" ft T-Pain and "I Can Take Your Girl" ft Drake & Kid Kid, which he plays on the guitar during the documentary. Now, all I need is the long version of "30 Minutes to New Orleans" and I'll be golden! =)
