Crown&Crumpet

As Sinatra once sang, "Oh the weather outside is frightful..." and I've been sitting in the same spot since 11 am this morning, and working on my presentation for Thursday. I've been so concentrated on this that I almost forgot to post pictures from saturday, when my neighbor and I decided to go out for tea. Not just any tea, tea at Crown and Crumpet.

Although it looked like the color pink threw up in there, I couldn't help but think how wonderful it would have been to go there as a young girl and celebrate your birthday. Anyways, there is a large tea collection with fabulous smells (I chose the strawberry green tea which smelled better than it tasted) and a lot of dressed up people. I looked like a widow in mourning.

Havanin ne kadar guzel oldugundan o kadar bahsettim ki sabahtan beri yagmur yagiyor, ben de daha koltugumdan kipirdamadim. Persembe gunki sunumuma o kadar konsantre calisiyorum ki cumartesi gununden resimleri koymayi unutuyordum.

Cay icmeye Crown and Crumpet'a gittik komsumla. Nefes alinamayacak kadar pembe, bol cay cesitleri (ben cilekli yesil cay ictim), ve bircok kostumlu insan... Ben herkesin arasinda yas tutuyor gibi kaldim.

Aren't you a little jealous that I can wear a tutu a la Carrie Bradshaw and walk down the street without getting stares? Of course the fact that a lot of people had a lot less on diverted the stares, but still... Happy Pride!

Alright everyone, this is the last time I'm going to ask you to do this. On a less pathetic note, Pride weekend is here, and I'm starting to add sparkle and color to my looks to prepare for sunday, when basically all of San Francisco go on Market street and support the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transexual community. Can't wait!

Sizden son kez bunun icin yardim istiyorum. Daha oy vermemis olanlar lutfen once Elle dergisinin Facebook sayfasina giderek o sayfayi "Like" edin, sonra da buraya tikladiktan sonra benim resmimi "Like" edin. Ay sonuna birkac gun kaldi! Oy vermis olanlara da cok tesekkurler.

Bunun disinda, San Francisco'daki gay, lesbiyen, ve biseksuel toplumun desteklendigi ve kutlandigi Pride haftasonu basliyor, o yuzden kiyafetlerime biraz daha parilti ve renk katmaya basliyorum...

I was woken up with the best news from a family member (congratulations ;) ), after a night of very confusing dreams, then spent my day indoors for a 6 hour Lighting class, then came back home and cleaned my apartment. (My labyrinth friends now what kind of cleaning I'm talking about.) Now I'm waiting for So You Think You Can Dance to start so I can end a day of emotional ups and downs with peace and quiet.

P.S. These pictures I forgot to post when I was back home. Other than my shoes (unfortunately our sizes don't match) I'm all in my mother's clothes in here. Thought she deserved the recognition :)

Cok kafa karistirici ruyamdan sonra sabah ailemden gelen cok guzel bir haberle uyandim, (tekrar tebrikler ;) sonra 6 bucuk saatimi bir odada, Isiklandirma dersimde gecirdim, son olarak da eve gelip "temizlik" yaptim. (Labirent arkadaslarim temizlik derken ne tur bir temizlikten bahsettigimi biliyorlar.) Simdi So You Think You Can Dance'in baslamasini bekliyorum ki bu kadar karisik bir gunu sakin ve mutlu bitirebileyim.

Not. Bu resimleri Istanbul'dayken koymayi unutmusum. Ayakkabilarim disinda giydigim hersey annemin, soylemeden edemedim :)

The weather is getting to me; I changed my outfit about 20 times before I went window shopping, (and this wasn't what I looked like) I realized that there is the July Vogue issue that Istill haven't read, and last but not least, at Urban Outfitters, I literally called a mannequin a "skinny bitch." Wow, now that I got that out of my system, back to my power point presentation hw about "trends."

Bu hava bana dokunmaya basladi; alisverise cikmadan 20 kere kiyafet degistirdim, (ve giydigim kiyafet bu degildi) hala okumadigim Vogue'un temmuz sayisi oldugunu kesfettim, ve en onemlisi, Urban Outfitter'da dolanirken plastik mankenlerden birinin inceligine kufur ettim. Neyse, artik trendlerle ilgili hazirlamam gereken power point sunumuma geri donuyorum...
